These next pictures are from the band banquet held at the end of the marching season. It was a fun way to look back at the year and just enjoy the company of my many new friends. We received awards given to us by our section leaders and also the directors had a few choice awards that they handed out. Afterwards there was a dance and then when I got back to my dorm room, I think I fell asleep instantly. It was a great night!
Kara, myself, and Amy. We're sometimes called "three of a kind".
This is Shawn. He's a rather unique character but a really good friend. He's always encouraging me to get more involved and is even recommending me for Vice-President of our chapter's CMENC (collegiate version of The National Association of Music Educators) group.
My trumpet buddy, Sheila, and I are practically inseparable throughout the course of the school day. That's mainly because we always have a majority of our classes together and sit next to each other in band. Seeing as how we're hardly ever apart, it's a good thing we're best friends!

This is my roommate, Katie. It's always great hanging out with her and we have spent many long hours talking at night about, well, practically everything. She's great!

Here I am fascinated with the butter. I held it over the candle in front of me for an extended period of time, until I couldn't take the heat anymore, and the butter never started to melt. The plastic around it did though. I'm glad I didn't use that one!
