Getting Caught Up...

I've gotten a bit behind on my posting of pictures and stories and I offer my profound apologies to my family and friends that like to keep tabs on my activity. Here are a few pictures to give you a taste of what has been happening with me and my family, but many more pictures will be found on my flickr account and then you can look at specific pictures by selecting one of the sets along the right side of the screen.

Eventful Thursday

As many of you have found out already, this past Thursday, April 26, was a very eventful day for me. I was able to attend a Chris Cagle concert on the UNK campus, and then, life changed all of a sudden. I'll tell the story as you scroll through the pictures.

Those were pictures from the Chris Cagle concert. I took them with my phone so they're not the highest quality. It was a great concert--high energy and lively music with a good mix of slower music.

This is me in the ER waiting for the x-ray and CT scan results. I slipped and fell down a flight of stairs at a friend's apartment. I hit my head somehow on the way down and have a pretty good bump on the back of my skull but no head damage. So everything's fine in the ol' noggin. I've always been told I have a pretty hard head.

My wrist, however, is another story; a sad one. I chipped one of the bones in my wrist and it could also have a hairline fracture. I won't know if it does, though, for another 2 weeks because this type of injury doesn't show up right away on the x-ray. If it is fractured, I'll probably need to have a pin or screw put in or else it won't heal.

But, lucky for me, my brothers can find humor in any situation so it hasn't been too depressing. Besides, I can still play my trumpet and that's all that matters.
