It all started early in the morning while I was having "coffee" with my adopted grandparents. It got dark and started pouring outside. You can see the water was running down the window pretty good in this picture.

Okay, now we were in a tornado warning during the time I took these pictures. And, before you start lecturing me with how crazy/stupid that was, let me just say that I absolutely LOVE chasing storms and watching weather develop. But, hey, I'm still here.
In the background of this picture you can start to see a wall of rain coming. About this time my cousin Jeremy showed up and we waited in the driveway and listened to it approach. It sounded like wind, but there wasn't a leaf blowing. It was the raindrops hitting the leaves of the corn. It was cool! The closer it got, the louder it got. Then all of a sudden the temperature dropped and the wind picked up a bit--we ran for our vehicles. For a few minutes I couldn't even see the trees around me. It was a downpour...and I loved it!!!
Getting Caught Up...
I've gotten a bit behind on my posting of pictures and stories and I offer my profound apologies to my family and friends that like to keep tabs on my activity. Here are a few pictures to give you a taste of what has been happening with me and my family, but many more pictures will be found on my flickr account and then you can look at specific pictures by selecting one of the sets along the right side of the screen.
