Getting Caught Up...

I've gotten a bit behind on my posting of pictures and stories and I offer my profound apologies to my family and friends that like to keep tabs on my activity. Here are a few pictures to give you a taste of what has been happening with me and my family, but many more pictures will be found on my flickr account and then you can look at specific pictures by selecting one of the sets along the right side of the screen.

Saddle Refurbishing

This is my Dad's old saddle that hadn't been used in probably over 6 or 7 years. It had been out in the barn all that time and really needed some major cleaning and heavy maintenance. I didn't think to take any pictures before I started cleaning, but here are some photos after I finished refurbishing.

Looks sharp, doesn't it? My next task is to refurbish what was my Grandma Lawton's old saddle. That one's going to take a lot of work.

P.S.-Delmer, I cleaned one of your saddles as a surprise for you and to thank you for my "saddle shop". Let me know if you figure out which one it was.
