Getting Caught Up...

I've gotten a bit behind on my posting of pictures and stories and I offer my profound apologies to my family and friends that like to keep tabs on my activity. Here are a few pictures to give you a taste of what has been happening with me and my family, but many more pictures will be found on my flickr account and then you can look at specific pictures by selecting one of the sets along the right side of the screen.

Happy Birthday, Grandpa!

January 8th was Grandpa's birthday; meaning that we had to do something to celebrate the occasion. So, the Prankmasters planned a surprise party with the kids from church and some help from Grandma. Below are just a few pictures from the day. To see more visit my Flickr account.

Grandma had taken Grandpa to Grand Island so we could go out to the farm to decorate a little bit and prepare for the surprise. When they arrived back at the farm, some kids that were hiding around the corner behind the garage came out and starting launching snowballs at Grandpa while Grandma ducked out of the line of fire. I'm not quite sure, but it appears as though he might have been hit with one in this photo.

This one shows Grandpa's revenge. He started chasing Tabbie around trying to get her with a snowball. He ended up chasing her into the quonset. It was really quite funny. Yeah, he got me with one a little earlier.

Instead of a traditional birthday cake we ate cheesecake. I apologize for the quality of the photo. For some reason I couldn't get the flash on my camera to go off.

For his gift we did the ol' box inside a box, inside a box, inside another box, etc. It was great!

He finally reached the last box. However, there was one more item inside that he had to unwrap.

The final present was a 12-pack of Pepsi neatly packed within the different boxes and a DVD. I like calling this picture the "**Click**" photo because I think he finally realized how certain events all tied together. For example, I had asked him what his favorite movie is and then Grandma insisting they come home because she wasn't wearing the right shoes for shopping. We then popped some popcorn and sat and enjoyed the movie and each other's company.
