Getting Caught Up...

I've gotten a bit behind on my posting of pictures and stories and I offer my profound apologies to my family and friends that like to keep tabs on my activity. Here are a few pictures to give you a taste of what has been happening with me and my family, but many more pictures will be found on my flickr account and then you can look at specific pictures by selecting one of the sets along the right side of the screen.

NSBA Intercollegiate Band

On Feb. 28th and 29th I was given the privilege to perform with some wonderful musicians from universities and colleges across Nebraska. It was a wonderful experience and made a lot of new friends while reacquainting myself with old friends.
This is Scott from UNO. He is originally from Boston and had a very strong accent. He kept asking about "shawrps" and "stawrts"; it was a hoot! When I asked him how he ended up in Nebraska for college he said that he was traveling between Seattle and Boston and got lost along the way.

Me with Dr. Davis. He's the reason why I was able to participate in the Intercollegiate Band. Thanks, Doc!

The next couple pictures make me feel as if I've gone back in time.

Heidi was my "trumpet buddy" while I was in Europe with the Nebraska Ambassadors of Music in the summer of 2003. It was great seeing her and we're hoping to meet up again next year.

I had to throw this picture in simply because as I walked into the hotel room I exclaimed, "I think we've got the wrong room!" The UNK Music Department had pulled some strings and got us a wonderful king-sized suite. I was living like royalty.
