Today I actually had a moment to watch an intramural team play a little soccer. I didn't have time to watch the entire game but even a few minutes is a blessing in itself.Tonight I was given the opportunity to practice my trumpet in the choir room. It's a lot bigger than a regular practice room and a whole lot cooler. I was looking at something on the wall when I turned around and saw my arrangement of "stuff". I thought, "Oh, this would make a good picture." So, here it is. And yes, I was practicing all of those trumpets. The one on the far right side is my Bb trumpet, the one in the middle is the university's C trumpet, and the one standing up in the university's piccolo trumpet. That thing is hard to play but I'm starting to get the hang of it. It's become rather fun now that I'm able to play it a little better.
Oh look, from trumpet to piano. Yeah, I spent a good 3.5-4 hours in the Fine Arts Building Monday night. And you'll see what happened to me in the next couple pictures.
When I opened the door to the choir room to put my stuff away and head back to the dorm, this is what I saw. Nothing. It was pitch black. But, lucky for me I know my way around the building well enough that I was able to find a hallway while using the light from my phone as a guide. I noticed that Dr. Davis left the light on in his office. I also used that as a guiding light. Do you suppose that was just a coincidence? I find it funny that the light was left on in his office on this particular day.
Finally! There is light at the end of the tunnel. You just have to feel around in the darkness before it is revealed. This is now the 2nd time this has happened to me but I really don't have any other time available to do most of my nitty-gritty practicing as Dr. Payne says.
