Getting Caught Up...

I've gotten a bit behind on my posting of pictures and stories and I offer my profound apologies to my family and friends that like to keep tabs on my activity. Here are a few pictures to give you a taste of what has been happening with me and my family, but many more pictures will be found on my flickr account and then you can look at specific pictures by selecting one of the sets along the right side of the screen.

2007 Pride of the Plains Band Banquet

At the end of our marching season, the band has a banquet to celebrate a successful year. After everyone eats their meal there's an awards ceremony and then the infamous band video portraying a lot of inside jokes. Following this is a dance that lasts until midnight. It's a great time with a lot of reflecting on the past year.

Me and Shawn (yay, Shawn!)

Dallas, me and Mike. They're from my trumpet section and always find a way to make me laugh. I often get hugs from Dallas.

For the dance we even got Dr. Schnoor and Dr. Davis on the dance floor. This was during a Frank Sinatra song.

Poor Dr. Davis! All of a sudden everybody left the dance floor and left him standing alone while we all circled around. I guess during the Sounds in the Summer band camp (that I missed because of mono) there was one particular song that he danced to and was really able to bust a move. So, they played the song here hoping that he would do a repeat of his performance. He pulled in a few recruits to help him out a little bit.

Tom, the one in all black, felt sorry for Dr. Davis and pulled Dr. Schnoor into the center as well. He tried teaching Dr. Schnoor the "running man". Doc eventually got it but it took several tries. After this song, both Schnoor and Davis left the dance in a hurry.

Everybody on the dance floor
