This is my uncle (rather great uncle) Jim Welsh. He was the one that was always carving pictures and sculptures out of moose and elk antlers. I was given some very sad news last night. He passed away on Friday morning around 10:00 from leukemia. Uncle Jim was always asking me about playing my trumpet and gave me the biggest hugs whenever we saw each other. We also kept in touch with a few sporatic letters; I'm sad we didn't do more. He is really going to be missed.
These pictures were taken during the vacation that Dad and I took last summer. It was also the last time I saw my uncle.
