The University of Nebraska at Kearney celebrated Homecoming this past week with the excitement coming to end on Saturday with a parade and football game. One of my friends had some pictures they let me have so now I am sharing them with you.
This picture was taken during the parade. See that determination on my face. I am focused on marching correctly.
Ahhh...the field show. I really enjoyed this halftime show. It was exciting and we had some great soloists!
In the lower right-hand corner of this picture is Dr. Payne on the trumpet. He is an amazing trumpet player! Yeah, he's also my trumpet professor and I literally get nervous around him whenever I have to play by myself. He's just that good.
We even got Dr. Schnoor to join us in this show. He's a percussionist, and a very talented one at that! In fact, our music department is full of wonderful musicians!This is a video of our closing song for our halftime show. You will be able to hear the wind blowing. Now, imagine trying to march and play and instrument or twirl a flag...yeah, it's not very easy.
